‘Unlocking ESF Potential’ can also provide you with the opportunity to learn more about meeting the needs of equalities groups within ESF as well as other key employment/training programmes.
Through networking events and equalities working groups, project managers will discuss issues such as ‘diversity’ and the implementation of cross cutting themes including ‘health’ in an ESF project.
‘Unlocking ESF Potential’ offers members the chance to take part in networking events designed to help you make new contacts and create new partnerships to support the delivery of their employment and training services.
In addition, organisations will have the opportunity to visit UK and other European cities to learn from their neighbours about other successful ESF projects.
In October 2009, 9 third sector organisations went to Liverpool to meet counterparts and discuss best practice around sustainable employment. Read about the study visit to Liverpool here.

On 24th and 25th September 2009, Unlocking ESF Potential took a group of 10 ESF funded organisations to Prague to meet their Czech counterparts and exchange ideas and best practice on how to engage employers. Read more about the visit.
More recently On 8th and 9th March 2009, Unlocking ESF Potential took a group of 8 ESF funded organisations to Helsinki to meet representatives from Helsinki City Council and exchange ideas and best practice on how to engage immigrants and their families.
To keep abreast of policy developments and updates, membership of ‘Unlocking ESF Potential’ will enable organisations to receive quarterly policy bulletins. Topics will include the European Year Against Poverty.
